Documenting life during the first attempt at restoring a vintage motorcycle.

Similar to the zen -like feeling that is realized through surfing,
motorcycle repair can elevate the mind to a meditative state that eludes time and space...
Meaning I obsess over it, get frustrated, yell, laugh at myself and overall waste a lot of time.

Pieces Of The Pie - It's AAALLiiiVVEEE!!!!!

Brought back to life from the dead! After an entire year of cleaning, tinkering, wrenching, eBaying, painting, crying, bleeding, sweating, tuning and fantasizing - She is finally ready to take her first ride... for the second time. This Frankenstein has been revived.

Though I probably spent less than 3 weeks in total time rebuilding this thing, I (relatively) enjoyed spreading it out over the year, a few minutes here and there every few weeks or so. I probably did close to 5 BPH (beers per hour) during my "garage time", so work always started out strong and ended 2-steps forward, 1-step back. But alas, we have arrived at the end / or beginning? of the road. Time to don the leather jacket and gold-flake-bubble-shield melon saver. I'll let you know how our first date goes... Let's just hope I round all the bases and make it (back) home.

Your blog looks nice, even so it would be far better if you’ll be able to use lighter colors too as a professional design. This will make sure that a lot more readers come to check it out.Informative post by the way!
